                 CH Energy Group Declares Common Stock Dividend

(POUGHKEEPSIE, NY) The Board of Directors of CH Energy Group, Inc., (NYSE: CHG)
at its regularly scheduled meeting today, declared a quarterly dividend of 55.5
cents per share of its Common Stock, payable Feb. 1, 2013, to holders of record
as of Jan. 10, 2013.
