"Your support has been an enormous help and I hope to be back with you all in person very soon." The 38-year-old singer was applauded by fellow nominees - Charlotte Church, who won the Solo Artist of the Year award, and British actress Billie Piper, who scooped the accolade for Best UK TV actress.
Other winners at the star-studded bash included Sharon Osbourne, who was honoured as TV Personality of the Year and Davina McCall, who took the Presenter of the Year award.
