BEDTIME FOR BONZO screenwriter TED BERKMAN has lost his battle with cancer. He was 92.
The acclaimed author also wrote the screenplay for baseball classic FEAR STRIKES OUT, which was a hit for ANTHONY PERKINS in the late 1950s.
Berkman, a photo assignment editor at the New York Mirror and a former US radio correspondent in the Middle East, also penned a best-selling biography of war hero MICKEY MARCUS - that book was turned into a film, starring KIRK DOUGLAS.
