Print article Print article
2013-01-10 17:39:44 - With the new Casela Professional Snare Cajon, Sela presents the first cajon that comes in single parts and is simply screwed together. Once assembled you have a high quality instrument that is unique in design, appearance, sound and playing options. This innovation was only possible through Sela‘s many years of experience in cajon making combined with modern manufacturing methods.

The extra strong body ensures an optimum sound development. Rounded edges made of solid maple wood and the soft Sela Thin Splash veneer playing surface make a comfortable, fatigue-free playing experience. With the individually adjustable Clap Corners, there are additional sound options. The easily removeable Sela snare system obtains two instruments in one: a modern professional cajon with an authentic snare sound and a traditional Peruvian Cajon without snare. All components are „Made in Germany“.

Fast and easy assembly
The CaSela Snare Cajon is a professional cajon which is screwed together quickly and easily. The only things you need are a cordless screwdriver and a hammer. No glue and no anchors are required. In the detailed assembly instructions, all steps are explained

in detail. The online video building instruction provides additional tips.

Maximum comfort and optimal sound production
The extra-strong body guarantees an optimal sound production. Rounded corners and the Sela Thin Splash veneered playing surface provide a relaxed and enjoyable playing feeling. There are three veneer models available: Satin Nut, Tineo and Zebrano. Due to the construction, subsequent replacement of the playing surface is possible.

Removable Sela Snare System and special clap corners
The sound of the Sela Snare System can be attenuated or amplified according to your taste. Additionally you can remove the snare easily. Through that your CaSela turns into a traditional Peruvian cajon without a snare. The cajon has individually adjustable clap corners, in addition to the crisp snare sound and the differentiated bass.

The Casela is available in three models: Satin Nut, Tineo and Zebrano. If you want to
change the front panel in hindsight, you can buy any of them also separately. If you want more snare, you can attach a separately sold Sela snare crosspiece additionally.
