Pop stars NICK and AARON CARTER fear for the welfare of their estranged mother after she was arrested for drink-driving in Florida.
The brothers' father, BOB CARTER, claims his ex-wife JANE continues to be a huge problem for the family as they attempt to move on with their lives after separating themselves from his "violent" ex.
But in a public slanging match, exposed by US tabloid the Enquirer, Jane Carter, who used to manager Aaron, insists her ex-husband is trying to set her up.
The family war escalated at the end of August (06) when Jane was arrested for drink-driving.
Bob Carter tells the Enquirer, "I think she's trying to make the kids feel guilty because she claims she made them the stars they are today and they owe her until the day she dies.
"It breaks my heart. Most people their age don't have to worry about getting their butts kicked - or being killed - by their moms.
"Jane is a very violent person - she's broken my collarbone and shot at me with a gun once.
"We are all concerned that one of these days she's going to kill one of us or herself."
