Carlton Hobbs Appoints Decorative Arts Researcher

- Carlton Hobbs LLC, the long established international antiques dealer, today announced that Dana Donadio joined the firm on September 15.

"Carlton Hobbs LLC is renowned for its academic approach to the acquisition of historically significant pieces," said Stefanie Rinza, the firm's managing director, "and this new position reaffirms the importance of provenance, maker and artistic content for each

piece in the gallery's collection."

Ms. Donadio most recently was at Doyle New York, one of the world's foremost auctioneers and appraisers of fine art, jewelry, furniture and decorations. She is a University Scholar and honors graduate of New York City's Hunter College and previously studied at the American University of Paris where she concentrated on art, history, literature, and architecture. Additionally, Ms. Donadio studied at the Scuola Lorenzo de'Medici in Florence, Italy.

Carlton Hobbs created a research department in 1988 that has since developed into what is now one of the most comprehensive antiques specialist's archives of several thousand books and source materials. The gallery publishes its research in a series of scholarly catalogues, sharing its findings with a broad academic community and to demonstrate the extent to which Carlton Hobbs researches provenance, maker and artistic content.
