TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 01/09/13 -- Hundreds of young journalists will be arriving in Toronto for one reason; it's time for the Canadian University Press annual national conference.
NASH75 x REDESIGN kicks off on Wednesday, January 9th with the organization's 75th anniversary celebration, co-presented by CBC and held at the Canadian Broadcasting Centre in downtown Toronto.

Founded in 1938, Canadian University Press is the world's oldest student journalism organization and has been the proving ground for many of Canada's best-known journalists.
From 8 p.m. on opening night, delegates and renowned CUP alumni will gather at CBC's spectacular Barbara Frum Atrium to celebrate the infamous past, illustrious present and innovative future of Canada's student press. CBC's Heather Hiscox will be MCing the event and speakers include notable CUP alumni Kate Beaton, illustrator and author of Hark! A Vagrant, and the National Post's Bruce Arthur.
The conference continues with three full days of sessions at the Delta Chelsea hotel featuring journalists from CBC, CTV, Esquire, The Globe and Mail, the National Post and the Toronto Star. Keynote addresses will be delivered by Brian Stelter of The New York Times, the CBC's Amanda Lang and The Globe and Mail's Doug Saunders (also a former CUP National Bureau Chief).
More than 350 young journalists from across Canada will be in attendance at NASH75 x REDESIGN, which continues through to Sunday, January 13th.
