2008-10-03 09:55:55 - The latest video games present a challenge few people can resist. It is this very challenge that brings them back time and again. It's the same challenge of raffling Seachange Lodge, that has Rick and Wendy pushing their boundaries.

Nearly all who play the latest generation of video games, last no longer than 10 seconds. However it is the very challenge that pulls the people back time and again. Rick and Wendy also face an impossible challenge, by giving away a boutique resort, on a tropical island in the South Pacific.

An MIT researcher of the video games,

Jesper Juul, said "There is an art to frustrating people in such a way that it keeps them fascinated by the game". It's this which sets video games aside from all other types of creative media. "It is all about how dim-witted you feel when you get stuck somewhere", Juul explains "People just love the rush it gives them when they finally do achieve. It's the same for athletes who push themselves to the point of no return and beyond, so as to gain a medal at the Olympics. It's all about knowing that you can outperform others".

Wendy and Rick face that same impossible situation in taking up the challenge in creating Win a Resort and the once in a lifetime Blue Moon Opportunity. No one else is offering a boutique six- roomed luxury resort, on prime waterfront land, on a tropical island, in Vanuatu, in the South Pacific, as an Internet raffle. Guests shake their head in wonder at the view from Seachange Lodge, "You can't possibly mean that you're giving this away!'

"It's great living in the Happiest Country on Earth and the home of South Pacific Survivors". Rick and Wendy have no intention of leaving Vanuatu.

Rick and Wendy aren't giving the resort away, they're simply selling it through an Internet raffle. They'll get market value for the property, the same as if they'd sold it through a real estate agent. All the money from the raffle is placed in a Child Trust Fund. The interest raised provides kids with a high school education grant. Kids who will never depart from their isolated tropical island home, unless they get outside assistance. They are like children all over the world with dreams of becoming pilots, teachers and doctors. They deserve to be given a chance.

It is nearly a year since Rick and Wendy came up with this over-the-top idea. In June 2009 some lucky person will become the new owner of Seachange Lodge Resort, for just $US125. Why is winning a boutique resort anymore difficult to believe than someone winning a holiday in a raffle or a house, or a car? A resort which could be run as a successful business or private holiday home, in the travel adventure destination of the South Pacific? Just think, if you don't want the prize, give it away as a gift!
