California United Bank (OTCBB:CUNB) today announced it raised approximately $151,000 at the 3rd Annual California United Bank Golf Tourney held October 26 for Boys & Girls Club of the West Valley.

Proceeds from the tournament will go to the Boys & Girls Club of the West Valley to help support its programs, which benefit more than 2,500 children each year.

Eric Schotz and Jon Schotz, two of the Bank’s founders, received the CUB Community Service Award for their support of the special needs of the community, during the ceremonies following the tournament.

Rose, Snyder & Jacobs and The Salter Group were co-sponsors of the event. About 30 other companies supported the event, which included a helicopter ball drop, raffle and live and silent

auctions. Nearly 150 players participated in this year’s tournament, which was held at El Caballero Country Club in Tarzana, Calif.

“This year’s event was a great success, in large part because of the dedication and support of our staff, volunteers and so many members of the community,” said David Rainer, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer. “The Boys & Girls Club of the West Valley is an outstanding organization doing amazing work with our young people. CUB is proud to further that work in partnership with its community and business associates.”

“We strongly believe that part of our mission is to improve the lives of others in our community,” said Mr. Rainer, “and that it is our responsibility and our privilege to serve and honor those who are making the effort together to improve our region. I want to particularly thank our honorees Jon and Eric Schotz, our co-sponsors, Rose, Snyder & Jacobs and The Salter Group, and all of our customers and friends for their unflagging and generous support.”
