- Employees, directors and customers of Encino-based California United Bank ("CUB") (OTCBB:CUNB) will be stuffing a school bus full of supplies for students at Canoga Park High School on Saturday morning, August 9, from 9 a.m. to noon, as part of the Bank's continuing program of supporting the communities in which they do business.

"Members of the community are

invited to come out and bring supplies to fill the CUB Bus," according to Anne Williams, Executive Vice President and COO of the Bank. Supplies can also be delivered to any California United Bank office by August 8.

Supplies will include a broad range of needed items, from rulers to batteries, and from erasers to paper goods. Recycled computers, monitors, printers and copiers will also be included.

According to Williams, "We saw a need for the community to support the school and its students - many of whom can't afford some of the supplies necessary to help further their education - and we wanted to help. Our incredibly community-spirited employees have spearheaded this project, and we thank them for their dedication to improving local schools in this way."

Los Angeles City Councilmember Dennis Zine, whose District includes Canoga Park High School, will be part of ceremonies scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Accepting the supplies to be allocated to teachers and students will be Principal Pam Hamashita, Vice Principal Robert Nagai and LAUSD School Board Member Tamar Galatzan.

According to project coordinator Shawndra Rutledge of CUB, tax-deductible monetary contributions are also being sought for use in the purchase of supplies for the high school. Recycled computer and other equipment will also be accepted. She can be contacted at (805) 267-2823 or (818) 257-7700.
