The Summer Assessment is not a firm prediction of what will happen. Rather, it looks at a broad set of variables and offers some insight into the possible range of conditions California is likely to face this summer as the industry and consumers get ready for the peak summer demand period.

The California ISO is a not-for-profit public benefit corporation charged with managing the flow of electricity along California's open-market wholesale power grid.
