This weekend C-SPAN’s Book TV will feature “LOVE LEADERSHIP” author and Operation HOPE Founder, Chairman and CEO John Hope Bryant as he joins Civil Rights Icon, Ambassador Andrew Young and Harvard School of Business Professor and bestselling author Bill George for a dynamic Conversation on Leadership at 10am (ET) Saturday, December 5th and 1am (ET) Sunday, December 6th in the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University.
Their lively discussion will focus on some of the biggest issues of our day and facing this generation, from the economic crisis and the future of capitalism itself, the role of government and views on the Obama Administration, the role entrepreneurship will play, and what each of us can do. The
discussion will also turn specifically to and around the leadership strategies outlined in Bryant’s new bestselling book LOVE LEADERSHIP, looking alternatively at successful models of leadership based on “what I have to give” versus “what do I get.”
Moderated by Professor Roy Bahl and the former dean of the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies, the authors will explore the age-old conflict of “giving” vs. “getting” and how a “giving” philosophy adds value to any venture in life -- even in and maybe particularly in today’s world.
The speakers dialogue about how understanding the strategies of successful business leaders like Bill Gates, Ted Turner, Steve Jobs and Warren Buffett, elected leaders such as former Presidents Bill Clinton, civil rights leaders such as Dr. Dorothy Height, and entertainment icons Oprah Winfrey and Quincy Jones, who have built their legacies around philanthropy, can help create a better world.
Bryant has donated all proceeds for purchases through the Operation HOPE website to benefit his financial literacy nonprofit Operation HOPE. The book can be found online at www.operationhope.org :
