2009-11-10 09:27:04 - Visual Paradigm International announces new release of Business Process Visual ARCHITECT 3.1 Service Pack 1 (BP-VA 3.1 SP1). The new version implements final draft of BPMN 2.0 notations.

The key new features of BP-VA 3.1 SP1 includes the following:
Supports Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) 2.0
BPMN 2.0 added a lot of interesting notations, including choreography task, choreography sub-process and Call Activity and formalize the task type icon. BP-VA 3.1 SP1 implements BPMN 2.0 changes.
Add Brazilian, French, German, German spell checker
BP-VA 3.1 SP1 added spell checking for Brazilian, French,

German, German. The spell checker will detect the system language and configure automatically.
Documentation indicator
BP-VA 3.1 SP1 also include documentation indicator for every business process element. Documentation indicator can help modeler easily identify which set of business process element has documentation.
Customizable environment
You may want to hide away some diagram types, menu items or toolbar items to avoid your team creating wrong types of model. Business Process Visual ARCHITECT supports customization of User Interface (UI) objects by XML. The following screenshots outline the steps to customize the tool.

BP-VA is available under both single-seat (developer-based) and floating licenses. Single-seat licenses are available from US $99.00 for the Modeler Edition to US $599.00 for the Animacian. Alternatively, these licenses can be purchased with one-year software maintenance contract for prices starting from USD $118.50 to US $718.50. A floating license is available from US $128.50 to US$ 778.50, or US $154.00 to US $934.00 including a one-year software maintenance contract.
