SANDRA BULLOCK has defended Hollywood pal KEANU REEVES' technological phobia, insisting emails are not as "special" as old fashioned letters.
THE MATRIX star only uses a computer when he visits friends hooked up to the web, preferring a traditional letter to digital communication.
And Bullock, who co-starred with Reeves in SPEED in 1994, shares his passion for the pen and has kept in touch with the actor by furiously scribbling letters by hand instead of firing off quick emails.
She says, "I love keeping in contact with Keanu through letters because I can revisit our conversations whenever I like.
"Some people think it's strange but I think it's very special." In the pair's latest movie THE LAKE HOUSE, Reeves' character exchanges letter with Bullock through a magical mailbox which transcends time.
