IDGA’s Future Naval Plans and Requirements Summit, December 7 – 9 will address the uncertainty about future plans and questions about budgets and affordability that could hamper the development of the Navy’s 21st Century Fleet. The 21 st Century Fleet sets the stage for tremendous increases in naval precision, reach, and connectivity.
To help clarify the uncertainty, IDGA’s Future Naval Plans and Requirements Summit focuses on the long-term requirements of the Navy and opportunities for immediate and future acquisition and participation in key programs.
Positioned shortly before the release of the Quadrennial Defense Review, the conference will provide a forum to analyze what the QDR means for the Navy’s long-term plan and what specific requirements will be for the fleet’s developing
needs.
This year’s event will emphasize the following key issues:
- Updates and plans on Littoral Combat Ship, DDG-100, Virginia Class Submarine, DDG-51 Destroyer, Unmanned Vehicles and Amphibious Ships
- Appropriated Funding
- Marine Corps input to the Naval Transformation Roadmap
- The developing needs of the fleet 10-15 years down the road
