BuckyLabs is at the forefront of longevity research using Carbon60 in Olive Oil

2014-04-22 08:50:14 - In April of 2012, a study published by the University of Paris testing the toxicity of a material called fullerenes (also known as Buckyballs) gave some totally unexpected results.

The rats that were fed a mixture of fullerenes and olive oil did not die due to toxicity; in fact they lived for almost 90% longer than their normal lifespan. Furthermore, the conclusion of the study reports that the reason for this unprecedented lifespan extension is due mainly to the lessening of age-related increases in oxidative stress. These results have great importance in the medicine and toxicology field, opening the way for the many possible biomedical applications in diseases like - cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and ageing.

What are buckyballs?

The structure of buckyballs is similar to a soccer ball made from 60 carbon atoms (C60). The physical properties of buckyballs have interested scientists for many years, primarily because these carbon atoms are

physically inert (they do not react and hence considered to be harmless), are strong and lightweight and have the ability to work as molecular cages. The C60 fullerene is a very promising material for its unique physiochemical properties.

Why are buckyballs attracting so much attention?

If the results of the study can be transformed into practical human use, then the world may have a low cost method to help deter age related problems, diseases, and to enhance longevity. There is a lot of buzz with cosmetic companies betting big on c60 longevity.

Today, BuckyLabs is the leading source for Carbon60 dissolved in extra virgin olive oil. This solution is carefully blended at the company's laboratory located in Chandler, AZ.

While many vendors use normal grade carbon60 olive oil, BuckyLabs uses only high-polyphenol, certified-organic extra virgin olive oil. A critical point to consider when purchasing C60 oil is the purity of the C60 used. Because solvents get trapped in the crystal lattice of C60 aggregates, it can be further purified by oven drying under a partial vacuum. BuckyLabs uses only vacuum oven–dried, ultra-pure (>99.95%) carbon 60 which is the highest quality currently available in mixed solutions.

Buckylabs' C60 solution is available for sale on their website www.bucklabs.com. For the convenience of the buyer, a special page "Dosage Calculator" is available where the buyer can calculate the dosage they require for their own research. The solution is also available in standard packed bottles of 30ml for $15.95, 60ml for $29.95 and 120ml for $54.95 with worldwide delivery.
