From Nuclear Submarines to Environmental Program Initiatives, Sousa Brings More Than 25 Years of Experience to East Brunswick Firm EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J. - Whitman, New Jersey's leading environmental, engineering and management firm, has announced that Bryan Sousa, P.E. has joined the company as a senior engineer. Sousa will assist in environmental due diligence and remedial projects.
Sousa has more than 25 years of engineering experience in a variety of environmental engineering capacities. Most recently, Sousa worked as an independent
environmental and regulatory affairs consultant, performing technical, administrative and engineering reviews for clients pursuing legal action.
Previous to his consulting work, Sousa worked for the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection for more than 17 years as an ombudsman and strategic planner for the Commissioner's Office and also as an environmental program supervisor for the Water Management Bureau.
'Bryan brings many years of experience as an environmental engineer and also as an industry expert in the field of remediation, a growing area of our business,' said Barry Skoultchi, president of Whitman. Sousa is a graduate of University of Connecticut, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering. Upon graduating, Sousa served as project engineer for Trident/S8G Nuclear Project, where he assisted in engineering services related to the design and construction of nuclear submarines. He is a licensed professional engineer and additionally earned an Advanced Management certification. He is currently a member of APICS, the Association for Operations Management and Process Improvement.
