BroVis Wireless Networks, a leading global manufacturer of Wireless Access systems, today unveiled new high-performance products comprising of the improved AS 500 XAP (Extended Access Point) as well as the new and enhanced AC 100 SP (Outdoor Subscriber Station) and AS1000 (Outdoor Base Station). The new products have been developed using the latest Atheros chipset that meets the Enterprise as
well as Service Provider standards. All of the products offer dual radio capability - 2.4 Ghz (802.11 b/g) and 5 Ghz (802.11a) with superior processing and memory capabilities.
The new products provide better Radio technology and also offer higher antenna gain and better diversity: this assures higher throughput, better coverage and longer reach. The new and enhanced products are also available with VLAN pass-through and Multiple BSSID features. The products also come with a built - in element management system, in the form of BroVis Management System -'BMS-. These products leverage the innovative, path breaking, enhanced TrueEXORTM technology developed by BroVis to extend outdoor coverage distances.
BroVis is one of the few manufacturers to offer a wide range of products that caters to both indoor and outdoor applications. BroVis' outdoor products are offered as AS 1000 Series and AC 100 Series. The former is the base station that comes with external antenna options, while later is a Subscriber Station or CPE with integrated antenna. The AS 500 is an extended range indoor access point, offering better NLOS performance in the indoor applications. The AS 1000 and AC 100 Series are offered in three variants viz; Standard Power (SP), High Power (HP), and the Dual Standard Power (DSP). The AC 100 and AS 1000 are capable of establishing Point -to- Point and Point- to- Multipoint links in both NLOS/LOS conditions. They can do upto 30Km in LOS and 1-5 km in NLOS. Both the AC 100 and the AS 1000 come with Power over Ethernet (PoE), eliminating the hassles of running 230V cables across the buildings.
Brovis' Broadcell and Radio-Zone solutions for Telcos, Service Providers and Corporate Campus Network managers enable fast deployment and simple integration into existing networks. NLOS capabilities allow operators to reach more customers while reducing overall costs. BroVis will be adding Smart Antenna, Dynamic Mesh and Wi-Max capabilities in the next couple of quarters.
'With these superior product enhancements, we are really raising the bar in terms of price-performance advantages, manageability and ease of deployment. All our efforts are streamlined to add value to the end client who needs to experience value for money- says Muthu Logan, Founder and CEO, BroVis.
Advanced wireless technology enables Brovis to offer the industry's highest available security based on AES (Advanced Encryption Standard), integrated functionality, and complete infrastructure management capabilities like Quality of Service and advanced Subscriber Management. The Broadcell solution also includes Turbo technology, an innovative combination of performance-enhancement featuresincluding packet bursting, fast frames, and data compressionthat provide dramatic improvements in throughput and range.
