Broker Educational Sales & Training, Inc. is pleased to announce the approval of their course 'Georgia Long-Term Care Training Program' for continuing education credit from the Georgia Department of Insurance. Clearcert, The Long-Term Care Industry's independent information resource for partnership training, is currently reviewing this course for certification as an approved LTCi training program for insurance carriers.

Georgia requires that producers complete a minimum 8-hour training course before representing LTCi partnership. This requirement is effective October 1, 2008, or the date upon which a represented carrier releases a partnership policy, whichever is later. The state has not announced state-specific content requirements but has communicated to training providers that state-specific content is required. Resident producers must earn CE for their course completions. At least four hours of follow-up training are required every 24 months after completing the initial training
