Broadgate has been appointed to manage the UK PR for Baker Tilly, one of the UK's leading mid-tier chartered accountancy and business advisory firms. Broadgate was appointed following a competitive four-way pitch of the short-listed agencies. The PR activity will initially focus on the areas of audit, tax, restructuring and recovery services.
Mark Knight, Broadgate Director and head of the Baker Tilly account, commented: 'Baker Tilly is a strong national brand in the accountancy market and our brief is to help the internal PR department build on this position. The media are looking for clear leadership
from accountancy firms such as Baker Tilly on how businesses can manage their finances through the credit crunch and our job is to help meet this demand.'
Tony Hannon, PR Manager Baker Tilly, said: 'Broadgate demonstrated a huge number of creative but pragmatic ideas in the pitch process and we are looking forward to working with their team to put these into action. We also liked their integrated approach to digital communications and this is an area we wish to maximise in 2009.'
Baker Tilly has around 2,200 employees with over 280 partners and a fee income of more than £204million. The company is an independent member of Baker Tilly International, the 8th largest independent accountancy and business services network in the world by fee income, with 138 firms in 104 countries.
