Britney Spears reportedly attempted suicide twice after fearing losing custody of her two sons.
A headline from The National Enquirer reads, "BRITNEY ATTEMPTS SUICIDE. THE DRAMATIC RESCUE THAT SAVED HER LIFE."
According to various reports, which detail the Enquirer's story:
"The source for Enquirer claimed, 'After she shaved off her hair, Britney had a complete breakdown and tried to kill herself.'"
"A source told the publication: 'Britney was crying and said
she would kill herself if she lost the boys.'"
"Britney apparently tried walking directly into oncoming traffic, but a member of her staff grabbed her."
'During the night, she escaped and tried to walk into oncoming traffic. Britney said she wanted to kill herself. She later grabbed a bottle of Xanax and said she'd take the whole bottle - she didn't care what happened to her.-

Britney Spears has since then checked back into rehab. Maybe this was the reason that Britney's soon-to-be ex-husband Kevin Federline cancelled an emergency court appearance regarding the custody of their two sons.
Both Spears and Federline are seeking sole custody of their sons. Earlier this month, a second temporary order granted both parties joint custody of their sons Jayden James, 5 months, and Sean Preston, 17 months, through February.
News of the emergency hearing came after Britney's wild behavior over the past week, which included Britney being a patient at two different rehab centers in the same week. Between rehab visits, Britney Spears went to a salon and took a razor to her own head, shaving off all of her hair after the salon's owner refused to do it.
Kevin Federline's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, said in a statement, "Kevin continues to be a very focused father with his children with hands-on management."
