Macclesfield-based P81 has donated close to £20,000 worth of stock to the British Red Cross to help with fundraising efforts in Cheshire. The promotional products from P81, include t-shirts, drinks bottles, duffle bags, towels, fleeces and pillows and will go to support a wide range of the Charity’s services, such as the fire and emergency support and therapeutic care services and Red Cross shops in the Cheshire area.

Eirlys Jessop, Senior Fundraiser based at the British Red Cross’s Cheshire office in Knutsford, accepted the goods from the whole team at P81’s headquarters based on Lyme Green Business Park. Eirlys says, “I’m overwhelmed with the sheer amount of stock P81 has been able to donate. Clothing and towels are great

for our fire and emergency support services and the eye masks and wheat heat packs were perfect for our fundraising pamper evening goody bags at Warrington Golf Club.”

Amongst the goodies from P81 were flip-flops, wet bags, bathrobes, rucksacks, children’s armbands, umbrellas, caps and more. “All the items will go to the most appropriate Red Cross service where it can be used in the most effective way,” explains Eirlys.
Chris Cope, Sales Director at P81, comments, “We wanted to find a charity that worked locally but that is also able to cope with this amount of stock - £20,000 worth of promotional items means a lot of boxes and a lot of sorting. The British Red Cross has such a broad remit and relies on volunteers and donations therefore fitted the bill perfectly.”
