SAO PAULO (AP) - Doctors say Brazilian Vice President Jose Alencar is in good condition after being rushed to a hospital with abdominal pain.
Doctors say the 77-year-old Alencar was admitted at a Sao Paulo hospital Saturday with an intestinal obstruction and is expected to undergo treatment until Monday.
Alencar has been battling abdominal cancer since 1997 and has undergone several major operations over the past five years.

Doctors at the Sirio-Libanes hospital said Sunday that surgery for the intestinal obstruction has not been ruled out.
Alencar is acting as president because Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva is in an official trip to France.
