Boyd Clarke Resource Capital Solutions says funding start-up software companies rose in the third quarter from last years levels, as the number of software companies are growing at a strong pace venture capitalists are investing a great deal more in these fledgling software companies.
The software industry's funding accounted for the largest chunk of the total and marked a signifcant percent jump from a year ago. It is also the first time that the software industry has made such a jump in about a decade.
Software also accounted for a jump in the number of deals that Boyd Clarke Resource Capital Solutions has made this year including some of the largest investment’s for the third quarter.
