The Kalgidhar Trust is to organize a ‘Blood Donation Camp’ at Akal Charitable Hospital, Baru Sahib on 16 February 2012, with the association of Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla

This is truly said by Winston Churchill “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give”. Well you can save someone’s life by just giving few drops of your blood because every drop counts. Donation of blood is a sign of kindness and care for the fellow human beings. There is no gift more valuable than a Gift of Blood, as it is actually a Gift of Life for the person who receives it.
Working for welfare and humanity by opening various projects, . The inauguration of this camp will be done by Mr. S.K Bhardwaj, S.D.M Rajgarh.
This Blood donation camp is being organized to
meet a shortfall of Blood at IG Medical College, Shimla, wherein many surgeries are held up due to paucity of blood. The Trust has endeavored to collect more than 500 units which will be a record for the state.
Free-of-cost healthcare facilities are provided to underprivileged rural and hilly people of the Himalayan foothills of Sirmaur district in Himachal Pradesh by Akal Charitable Hospital at Baru Sahib in Himachal Pradesh. Akal Charitable Hospital an initiative of ‘The Kalgidhar Society’ is able to arrange for basic and speciality healthcare, surgeries and trauma intervention relief for the rural poor through its charitable hospital and through various free medical camps.
Akal Charitable Hospital also organizes Free medical camps including Plastic Surgery Camps, four times a year, where in specialists from USA and several states of India volunteer their services. Approximately 2000 patients attend each of these camps, wherein each time more than 100 operations are carried out absolutely free of cost. A team of 15-20 Volunteer Doctors comes from USA/Canada to help at the camp.
