2014-08-03 07:22:53 - Adult Entertainers Turn to Crypto-Currency as Large Financial Institutions End Pornography Transactions

The independent adult entertainment industry is increasingly turning to digital crypto-currencies, among them Titcoin and Bitcoin, for anonymous client transactions amid a recent crackdown by banks and other financial institutions.

Banks have been under pressure as of late to close the accounts of adult entertainment professionals, and PayPal and other financial services have begun to block transactions for many of those involved in sexual and alternative entertainment. This has led the industry to look elsewhere for safe, anonymous and reliable outlets for receiving payments.

“Most payment processors do not support adult entertainers, and we are subject to having our finances frozen or closed out without a moments notice,” says Jeselyn Online, an aspiring cam model and porn star.

Goddess Queen B, another adult

entertainer specializing in online domination, stated, “Titcoin caught my attention because I was looking for a simple way to accept tributes without having to deal with PayPal.” She adds, “My slaves will be able to remain anonymous and not have multiple charges showing up on their banking or credit card statements.”

As check-cashing services acting as middlemen often come with high fees, many are considering crypto-currencies as a viable alternative. Bitcoin, which uses peer-to-peer technology to operate with no central authority or banks, and Titcoin, specifically geared toward the adult entertainment industry, are two such digital currencies being used for payment options in this field—both of which provide the added value of anonymity for users.

“We are on the cusp of a financial revolution where small and independent entrepreneurs can operate autonomously without being subject to the moral purview of large financial institutions,” said Edward Mansfield, Co-Founder of Titcoin. “Jeselyn Online and Goddess Queen B are helping pave the way for the entire adult entertainment industry.”

Other adult entertainers, including Bella Vendetta of Burning Angel fame, plan to accept digital currencies such as Titcoin and Bitcoin in the near future.
