This new course enables Colorado producers to obtain their newly mandated eight hours of self study on the subject of long-term care and long-term care partnership programs. BEST, a premier provider of continuing education for insurance professionals, announced the release of a new course titled 'Colorado Long-Term Care Training Course'.
BEST is also approved for the mandated eight hours of classroom and will be offering that subject shortly.
As of January 1st, 2009, all Colorado long-term care agents must complete 16 hours of long-term care training:
8 hours in general long-term care training (which may be delivered in a classroom, online or in print) and 8 on partnership training (which must be delivered in a classroom setting). It doesn't matter which part of the training is taken first.
BEST's new Long-Term Care Partnership course for CO agents has
received approval from the Licensing Division of Colorado's
Department of Insurance for eight hours of CE credit.
BEST's new course addresses long-term care, long-term care insurance, qualified partnership programs, and the relationship between partnership policies and other public and private coverage of long-term care.
