2009-11-03 19:13:25 - There are highlights of the places that are a must see in Capetown and few airlines that are the cheapest yet maintain their quality and standard. Find now how you can turn your holidays to Cape Town into perfect holidays....

South Africa “the adventure capital of the world” is known for its safaris, thick forests and beautiful beaches. There are millions of tourists who visit South Africa every year in search of adventures, excitements, thrill, perfect beach holidays, water sports, diving, Jungle Safari, biodiversity and much more. Simply, this country has some thing to offer to everyone. Although the capital

of Couth Africa is “Pretoria” yet the iconic city or the crown of South Africa is Cape Town. Cape Town is also known as the Mother City in South Africa. It is also one of the most iconic cities in the world.

Cape Town is the second largest city in South Africa and is the capital of the Western Cape Province, as well as being the legislative capital of South Africa. It is located in the south-west corner of the country near the Cape of Good Hope, and is the most southern city in Africa. It is a stone's throw from South Africa's world-famous Cape Winelands around Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek. Tourists visit Cape Town for not only its natural wonders but also heritage and cultural sites widespread throughout the city. In December or in general holiday season as in July, Cape Town is one of the busiest cities in the world. The summer months are from December to March or April. Days are usually very hot, but the humidity is low, so it is not uncomfortable. Getting tan at the warm waters in Cape Town beach is one lovely activity, however, midday heat should be avoided by using sun blocks and staying under the shade. You may have to fight for space on the beach around New Year's with all the local tourists but it is still a great time to visit as there are a lot of events happening.

However, due to the uncountable activities, hot happenings and events through out the year, finding cheap flights to Cape Town is one difficult task. The main airport that caters to the needs of this huge air traffic each day is the Cape Town International Airport. Cape Town International Airport is the second largest airport in South Africa (the largest being the OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg). There are several local flights daily to Johannesburg, Durban and all other major South African cities, as well as the Namibian cities of Windhoek, Swakopmund and Walvis Bay and other destinations, including Gaborone, Maun and Nairobi. The most used airlines for international flights from Europe, the US and Asia include South African Airways, Lufthansa, British Airways, Delta Airlines, KLM, Singapore Airlines, Qatar Airways, Etihad Airways and Malaysian Airways. Yet, the cheapest flights are usually available with Arabic carriers like Etihad or Qatar Airways. Some outstanding deals on cheap flights to Cape Town, Holidays in Cape Town or discounts, promotional fares and bargains are also available on flights with Qatar Airways, KLM, Air France and Etihad Airways. Further international flights arrive from Buenos Aires, Doha, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Kuala Lumpur, London, New York City, Atlanta and Singapore. In the summer, (October-March) several charter airlines operate direct flights from all over Europe to Cape Town. Spare seats are sold with substantial discounts but during Christmas time and New Year prices rises significantly. To save on peak season reservation, it is highly recommended to book your seats well in time. Ideally, booking 4-6 months prior departure date can save you some good bucks on your flights right from the beginning of your trip. When traveling from Cape town onwards major local airlines include South African Airways and British Airways (Comair).

Almost everything is possible in Cape Town, from a nice guided city tour through an adrenaline kick in an old fighter jet. The easiest way to get an overview on things to do, nice restaurants, clubs, tours etc is to walk into one of the visitors centres which are in several areas. (V&A Waterfront, City Bowl, Green Point etc).
