2008-07-01 09:10:11 - Ben Affleck says "things couldn't be better" between him and wife Jennifer Garner, after the pair went out to dinner with Ben's close friend Matt Damon and his wife Luciana Barroso.

Ben Affleck says "things couldn't be better" between him and wife Jennifer Garner. The 'Pearl Harbor' actor - who has a two-year-old daughter Violet with Jennifer - insists rumours the relationship is in trouble are completely untrue.

He said: "My home life is pretty great. We're very happy. Things couldn't be better. We're kind of taking it easy and just kind of enjoying a little downtime at home." Ben and Jennifer - who celebrated their third wedding anniversary yesterday (29.06.08) - went out for dinner with Ben's 'Good Will Hunting' co-writer Matt Damon and his wife Luciana Barroso at Nobu in Malibu, California, on Saturday (28.06.08). An onlooker said: "Ben and Matt were entertaining the girls with stories, and they were all laughing a lot. The group made a toast to Ben and Jennifer's anniversary when dessert came. They were all in a great mood, and Jennifer and Ben left Nobu hand in hand." Meanwhile, Ben recently revealed his trip to the Congo - to present a report for US TV show 'Nightline' about the state of the war-torn country - affected him deeply. He said: "It's definitely changed me. It's definitely been a part of - I guess a growing sense that I have a responsibility to do something with my life that's other than just serving mileage in some way. "You have a responsibility to your kid and also a responsibility to the world around you, so all that is part of the motivation for doing all this stuff."
