Bat Boy: The Musical will be performed in San Pedro beginning in October, 2008. Auditions are being held soon. Don't miss this chance to participate in a quirky, captivating, Cult-Classic of Musical Theatre. The Relevant Stage at the Warner Grand Theatre is casting all roles for Bat Boy: The Musical.
Auditions will be August 18th & 19th 7:00pm - 9:30pm
Callbacks will follow on August 20th 7:00pm - 9:30pm.
Auditions will be held at Warner Grand Theatre at 478 W 6th Street in San Pedro, CA 90731.
Those auditioning should prepare 16-32 bars and come prepared
for cold readings and dance auditions.

Bat Boy: The Musical, based on the popular Weekly World News story, is a musical comedy/ horror show about a half boy-half bat discovered in a cave outside Hope Falls, West Virginia. The Bat Boy is taken in by a local family and taught to 'fit-in', be civilized, and act like a 'normal' boy in a town full of prejudice and fear.
Cast of 12 - 7 Men/ 5 Women - Age range 15 - 55. All roles require singing and strong characterization/comedic skills. Some roles play multiple characters.
Bat Boy (Edgar) - Male/Teen's- 20's - Half boy/half bat - Strong acting/singing role - Tenor
Shelley Parker - Female/Teen's - 20's - Rebellious teenager - Soprano
Dr. Thomas Parker - Male/30's-50's - Town Veterinarian Jekyll & Hyde Type - Tenor
Meredith Parker - Female/30's-50's - Mother with a hidden dark side - Mezzo
Sheriff Reynolds - Male/30's - 60's - The do-good mediator - Tenor
Rev. Hightower/Mrs. Parker/Roy - Male or Female/30's-60's - Strong character actor - Tenor
Ensemble - Play various characters throughout the show - strong singing/acting abilities required - dance ability is a plus - all vocal ranges
Performances are October 9th - 19th, Thursdays to Saturdays at 8PM and Sundays at 2:30 PM. There is also one free, 1PM performance on Friday, October 10th for students and educators.
