Automotive Engineers (SAE), AS9100 builds off the well-known ISO 9001:2000 quality management system standard, and is the Quality Systems Aerospace Model for quality assurance in design, development, production, installation and servicing of civil and military aviation products worldwide.

The AS9100 quality management system improves product reliability, ensures better process control and flow, establishes better documentation of processes, increases employee quality awareness and reduces product scrap, rework and rejections.
Barnes Group's Associated Spring facility in Milwaukee manufactures short-run and prototype applications to high-volume precision spring lines. Types of springs supplied include belleville and specialty washers, precision torque coil springs, machined springs, custom wireforms, compression, torsion and power springs.
