2013-12-25 17:47:28 - Bankinter has named Monica Lopez-Monis bank's new general secretary replacing Inigo War, will be the new CEO of Investment Banking, reporting directly to the vice president of the organization, Alfonso Botin.
The new general secretary also hold the post of secretary of the board , replacing Rafael Mateu de Ros , who continues as a director, and has been appointed member of the audit and nomination and remuneration . He also will become part of the steering committee of the entity.
In addition to the duties as General Secretary, Lopez-Monis will be responsible for the legal and tax department of the bank. Mónica López-Gallego is Monís state attorney, currently on leave, and has a long and proven professional experience in different companies, including Bankinter where he held between 2001 and 2005, the post of Director of the Legal and Tax Consultancy.
Meanwhile, the appointment of Inigo War as CEO of Investment Banking is
part of the "strong strategic commitment" being made by the bank in this business segment, launched in late 2011, as explained by the entity in a statement.
