Bank of Georgetown Hires H.B. Swoope as Vice President of Commercial Banking for Arlington

www.bankofgeorgetown.com - Bank of Georgetown, a community bank chartered in Washington, D.C., has hired H.B. Swoope, V as vice president of commercial banking for its Arlington Courthouse branch in Arlington, Va.

Swoope has more than 10 years of experience in business development and commercial banking, most recently serving as vice president and business banking officer with Chevy Chase Bank in Arlington, Va. In this role, Swoope focused on growing a new department within the bank, generated new business from the small business market and educated branch employees about small business banking products. He was also responsible for providing commercial lending support to seven branches and working with external partners to provide banking services such as payroll and merchant services.

Swoope earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Politics from The Pennsylvania State University in State College, Pa.
