GREENVILLE,  S.C. -  July 25, 2012-- The  Board of  Directors of AVX Corporation
(NYSE:  AVX) recently  declared a  dividend of  $0.075 per  common share for the
quarter ended June 30, 2012.

The  dividend will be paid to shareholders  of record on August 6, 2012 and will
be disbursed on August 17, 2012.
