2012-12-11 20:49:32 - California author Peter Thomas Senese, the Founding Director of the I CARE Foundation, a self-funded non-profit organization dedicated to protecting children from abduction and trafficking, has helped rescue a large number of internationally kidnapped children and reunite them with their custodial parents over the past few years, while also protecting an even larger number of children from abduction.
Today, Mr. Senese has announced that he will continue to donate 100% of all earnings generated from his book sales to the I CARE Foundation in order to continue the organizations incredible efforts of assisting children in crisis while also working diligently to create additional new laws or congressional resolutions such as the recently passed Senate Resolution 543 created to stop abduction.
Peter Thomas Senese, a best-selling author who splits his time between California and New York writes primarily international geopolitical thrillers has a long and measurable history of helping children in crisis, including children targeted for abduction and children fighting severe health concerns. The critically acclaimed author’s novels include ‘Chasing The Cyclone’, ‘The Den of the Assassin’, and ‘Cloning Christ’,
along with the important and influential non-fiction books ‘The World Turned Upside Down’ and ‘In Their Own Words’ amongst a diverse and current collection of acclaimed works.
Carolyn Ann Vlk, member of the Board of Directors of the I CARE Foundation as well as a board member of the Special Advisory Board of the Amber Watch Foundation stated, “Mr. Senese has made a significant and positive impression on our society. Mr. Senese volunteers a great amount of his time and continues to provide resources to the foundation so that we may continue to assist families in crisis. The truth is there have been many families who have been reunited or protected because they turned to Mr. Senese.”
New York based attorney Joel Walter is a member of the I CARE Foundation’s Board of Directors. Mr. Walter added, “Peter Thomas Senese has consistently contributed significant funds to the I CARE Foundation so the organization may continue to assist children and parents in crisis. He has not only donated 100% of his time, but he has provided an incredible amount of resources that have enabled I CARE to help rescue a large number of internationally kidnapped children, provided us with necessary funding to conduct our extensive research in the area of IPCA, and given us the capability to continue to move forward on an assortment of legislative initiatives that will protect children. The fact that Mr. Senese has decided to continue to donate 100% of his author earnings to the I CARE Foundation is of no surprise to me because he has previously provided extensive resources outside of his book earnings. How impactful has Mr. Senese’s volunteer dedication to children been? I imagine there is nothing that gives as much insight as to the large number of sworn testimonials written about his kind generosity that are located on his website. I know I speak on behalf of the foundation, when I say we are deeply thankful to Peter Thomas Senese and his steadfast commitment to helping others.”
Peter Thomas Senese's critically acclaimed thriller, Chasing The Cyclone, is available in e-book and will be released in hardcover in conjunction with the I CARE Foundation’s activity on Capitol Hill.
The New York Journal of Books said of Chasing The Cyclone, "Chasing The Cyclone is a well-written thriller . . . Senese shares myriad emotions by writing in the first-person as he weaves through the action in this suspense-filled story . . . This novel might also be considered a treatise on international child abduction. Cyclone, while full of actual strategies and resources to assist parents in international abductions, is above all else a love story about a father and son ... From Los Angeles, to Canada, to New Zealand, and eventually, Macau, a special administrative region of China, Cyclone is rife with international intrigue and suspense. The protagonist, Paul Francesco, orchestrates a master plan that he hopes will reunite him with the love of his life - his son. Along the way he finds himself swamped in red tape and drenched in frustration. Filled with a plethora of powerful characters and puzzling predicaments and dead ends, the story moves quickly . . . Cyclone will leave you informed and satisfied . . . you will be reluctant to put down."
Peter Thomas Senese commented, “It is my privilege to be able to continue to assist the I CARE Foundation. The organization has accomplished many things on behalf of children, including building a national attorney network of trained lawyers familiar with international child abduction, has conducted important research in the area of abduction and trafficking, has successfully worked on and seen the passage of implementation of new laws of policies that will protect children, and has helped safely bring home many children or prevented their kidnapping. And to think, the seed of the I CARE Foundation began with my writing of ‘Chasing The Cyclone’ is quite satisfying. I think it’s every author’s hope to have a publication have the type of impact this particular book has had.”
Mr. Senese’s books are available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and wherever books are sold, including on The Official Website of Peter Thomas Senese.
Mr. Senese added, “I am pleased to donate 100% of my author earnings to the I CARE Foundation. As the United States Senate clearly stated on December 4th, 2012 when it unanimously passed Senate Resolution 543, international parental child abduction is a severe form of child abuse that revolves around the act kidnapping. Sadly, abduction is growing rapidly. Fortunately, there are organizations such as the I CARE Foundation that are fighting back. It is my honor to be a part of it.”
