VIENNA (AP) - Authorities in southern Austria say lightning struck a football field during an amateur match and injured 25 people.
Officials said Wednesday that none of the victims suffered a direct hit in Tuesday evening's strike in the southern town of Leoben. But they say the voltage was strong enough to knock some people off their feet.
Authorities say they tried to send paramedics in a helicopter to the scene, but the storm was too dangerous.

The victims were treated at a hospital for burns and other injuries.
