As part of their on-going program of education and professional certification for staff members, McCann Systems, a leading audio visual design and integration firm, announces the recent certification of a number of their fabrication, service and installation specialists.

HAA Awards Level 1 Certification
Michael Finnerty, Fabrication Manager, Dan Rybak, Lead Service Technician and Lead Installation Technicians; Tom Druckenmiller and Dave Daily, received Level 1 certification from the Home Acoustics Alliance (HAA®). HAA is a professional training organization dedicated to promoting the effective use of acoustical design and audio calibration techniques.

This rigorous certification course included in-depth study and analysis of the theory and practical application of speaker placement, sub-woofer location, audio calibration, timing, and equalization. The course incorporates both the physics

and math integral to obtaining optimum speaker focus and clarity. In addition, the classes covered room acoustics and the use of the latest sound absorbing techniques and materials.
