Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: AAWW), a leading provider of global air cargo assets and services, today announced that Edward J. McGarvey has joined the Company as Vice President, Treasurer. Mr. McGarvey comes to AAWW from HSH Nordbank, where he was Senior Vice President, Head of Aviation Americas, responsible for finance and business development for the bank's aviation finance

unit.

Prior to HSH Nordbank, Mr. McGarvey was a Vice President in the Capital Markets group at GE Commercial Aviation Services (GECAS) from 1996 to 2006. He played an active role in portfolio and securitization initiatives, as well as led the sales effort for GECAS' entrance into the Japanese Operating Lease market. Mr. McGarvey is a certified public accountant with a B.S. in accounting from Manhattan College.
