(NASDAQ: ATHN), reports that on June 2 and 3, 2008, Jonathan Bush, Chief Executive Officer, President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of athenahealth, Inc. ("athenahealth"), exercised employee stock options to purchase 248,856 shares of athenahealth common stock, par value $0.01 per share (the "Common Stock"). Mr. Bush sold immediately, in open market transactions, all of the shares of Common Stock he purchased through the exercise of these stock options. All of the net, after tax proceeds of the sale will be used to satisfy obligations of Mr. Bush under a pre-existing divorce settlement agreement, with his former wife that covered disposition of the options for her benefit.
