This walled city was ruled by the Nizams of Hyderabad for centuries. Today it is considered amongst the fourth largest populated city in India. It has the largest concentration of Muslim as well as Hindu communities.

The old city has witnessed many communal riots between the two communities which run deep in history of Indian politics. This week, IBN-Lokmat’s Rajendra Hunje uncovers the truth behind the incessant unrest in the city on Sunday, 10th March 2013 at 11.30 am and 8.30 pm only on IBN-Lokmat.
With each passing year, Hyderabad witness indefinite curfew following communal clashes over alleged desecration of a religious place between Hindu and Muslim Community. Tensions erupt taking lives of innocent people. In most of the unfortunate incidents, enraged members took out rallies which culminate in stone-pelting. Recent blast in Hyderabad was the blow for the entire nation. Religious sentiments are blown up which are one of the many reasons of such unfortunate incidents.
