2013-12-10 08:22:10 - Discounted Membership and Tailored Programming to Attract “Rising Stars” Among OC’s Finest Business Professionals
The Association for Corporate Growth Orange County chapter (ACG OC) is offering an exclusive discounted membership to young professionals who qualify for the Rising Stars group. ACG OC is the premier association for professionals involved in corporate growth, corporate development, and mergers and acquisitions for middle-market companies across Southern California. Members include corporate development officers, private equity investors, banks and finance companies, transactional law attorneys, CPAs, investment bankers, professionals in marketing and communications, real estate and other professional service firms, who wish to focus on building value for middle-market growth companies. Young professionals within Orange County are encouraged to become Rising Stars ACG OC members by completing the online membership form now through December 31, 2013.
“While there are a number
of networking groups in Orange County targeted toward young professionals, Rising Stars was developed within ACG OC with a greater strategic goal in mind,” said Sara Van Dusen, co-chair of the Rising Stars Committee. “Rising Stars was created to provide members support throughout their entire career by offering not only networking opportunities, but mentorship, programming and access to content available to members at all levels of professional development.”
The AGC OC Rising Star event series is designed for up-and-coming young talent under age 40 with up to 15 years of professional services or corporate experience. Service providers and junior executives come together for a series of fun, socially-oriented events offering them the opportunity to build their business contacts through peer networking. In addition, Rising Stars members will receive exclusive guidance and business knowledge while connecting with OC’s leading professionals in the corporate sector.
ACG OC members enjoy direct access to the extensive professional network and resources of ACG National. Nationally, there are more than 9,000 members representing Fortune 500, Fortune 1000, FTSE 100, and middle-market companies in 48 chapters in North America, Europe and soon Asia.
“ACG OC is looking forward to attracting new memberships made up of junior professionals to give them access to exclusive ACG resources,” said Mike Issa, board president of AGC OC. “The Rising Stars of ACG OC have the autonomy to create events and programming based on their own goals and objectives, allowing events to be completely relevant to young, career-minded professionals. They also benefit from unparalleled access to senior level networking events and mentorship.”
More than 100 senior OC executives typically attend ACG OC’s evening event series, including its renowned annual networking mixer, “Contact and Connections” and the organization’s annual awards event. The chapter also has numerous networking events, including its marquee event: “Private Equity Dealmakers Marketplace & Wine Tasting.” More than 500 attendees from business owners, CEOs, CFOs, private equity firms, investment bankers and intermediaries to the “Who’s Who” of M&A in Southern California, typically attend.
