KUWAIT CITY (AP) - Al Qadsia advanced to the Asian Champions League quarterfinals despite allowing a late goal and settling for a 2-2 draw with Uzbekistan's Pakhtakor on Wednesday.
Al Qadsia stayed three points ahead of second place Pakhtakor with one game remaining in Group D, but _ having beaten the Uzbek side in their

Ahmed Ajab gave Al Qadsia the lead in the 20th minute with a header before Odil Ahmedov equalized in the 36th.
Khalaf al-Salamah converted a penalty kick in first-half injury time to restore Al Qadsia's lead.
Pakhtakor finished with 10 men after Ihomjon Suyunov was ejected for dissent. The Uzbek side was issued nine yellow cards in the match, which finished with baton-wielding riot police moving in to protect the referee and his assistants after they were rushed by Pakhtakor players.
