- For the second consecutive year, M. Catherine Morris, senior vice president and chief strategy officer for Arrow Electronics, Inc. (NYSE: ARW), has been named to VARBusiness magazine's annual "Most Powerful Women of the Channel." The list recognizes more than 50 female leaders who are role models to other women and making the greatest impact in the information technology industry.

Morris oversees all strategic and operational initiatives across Arrow, including global acquisition activity.

"I am delighted that VARBusiness continues to recognize women and their contributions in the IT industry," said Morris. "Women at all levels have an important role in the long-term direction of the channel, and every day they are making significant contributions toward that goal."

"I congratulate each of the women on the list for their continued growth and professional accomplishments, and I thank VARBusiness for recognizing my contributions at Arrow."

With nearly 20 years of experience in the IT distribution business, Morris has had a significant role in Arrow's success since joining the company in 1994 through its acquisition of Anthem Electronics. Holding a series of senior leadership roles at Arrow - including vice president of North American support services, vice president of corporate development and, most recently, president of Arrow's Enterprise Computing Solutions business - Morris has figured prominently in Arrow's growth and acquisition strategy over the past several years.

The 2008 Most Powerful Women of the Channel list is featured in the August 2008 issue of VARBusiness.
