- Arizona State Credit Union, Phoenix Paul B. Stull, 602-467-4062 paul.stull@azstcu.org Arizona State Credit Union donated more than 1,350 cases of bottled water and cash contributions of more than $1,800 to the Phoenix Rescue Mission. The total donation will be enough water to support the needs of Phoenix Rescue Mission for at least six weeks.

The water drive began

three weeks ago, building teamwork and camaraderie within the Credit Union corporate headquarters located in North Phoenix. In the interest of good-old-fashioned fun, associates lined up in the hot afternoon to donate $5, or a case of water, for the chance to sink their favorite executive into a dunk tank.

Departmental teams competed against each other to build excitement about the cause, with the Credit Union's initial goal to raise 500 cases of water. The lobby's capacity was exceeded as cases of water continued to be donated, creating an ever-growing "Pyramid of Life" at the Credit Union. The winning team brought in 450 cases alone.

"It was outstanding to see our associates get so involved in this water drive, directly impacting the community," said David E. Doss, president and CEO of Arizona State Credit Union. "We are excited to be a part of this important cause, helping the homeless get through the summer."

Phoenix Rescue Mission's top priority is to provide heat relief to homeless people throughout the Valley. With the temperatures in triple digits, those living on the streets are at high risk for dehydration and other heat-related exposure. The Credit Union selected the Phoenix Rescue Mission in order to provide immediate assistance to those in need.

Arizona State Credit Union is a $1.2 billion full-service not-for-profit financial cooperative with a statewide branch network serving the people of Arizona. More than 130,000 Arizonans turn to Arizona State Credit Union for outstanding service and value. Founded in 1951, the Credit Union has grown dramatically and provides a full line of financial products at 23 offices across the state. Arizona State Credit Union is proud to be locally owned and operated and welcomes membership from both business and individual members.
