www.infinisim.com - Infinisim, Inc. today announced that Arda Technologies, Inc. relied on Infinisim's RASER(TM) simulator to achieve industry-first highest Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) results with their fully functional, first-silicon audio analog-to-digital converter (ADC). Arda Technologies used Infinisim's RASER simulator to verify the full mixed-signal ADC IC and achieve an unprecedented level of verification coverage prior to tapeout.
"The first-silicon results for the AT1201 -- our flagship ADC for professional audio -- achieved the industry-leading dynamic range of 125dB," said Dr. Sha Rabii, President of Arda Technologies. "We used Infinisim's RASER for full chip validation prior to tapeout in this development. RASER's accuracy and capacity helped us uncover three design issues at the interfaces between analog and digital circuits that were
not caught by other simulation methodologies. I estimate that RASER saved us one silicon respin and three weeks on the critical path to tapeout. We are delighted with RASER's performance, ease of use, and the excellent applications support provided by Infinisim."
Arda Technologies' ambitious goal of achieving the best-in-class audio ADC dynamic range required a SPICE-level simulator to simulate their full chip with one-day turnaround time. RASER's patent-pending Real-time Adaptive Simulation(TM) (RAS(TM)) automatically enhances performance and capacity without sacrificing SPICE accuracy. RASER guarantees SPICE accurate results with an average of 50 times speedup and capacity, thus enabling Arda Technologies to achieve full-chip verification coverage, providing them with unprecedented levels of confidence in design correctness at tapeout.
"Innovative companies such as Arda Technologies are pushing the envelope of complexity and performance in mixed-signal designs. These designs require a new generation of analysis and verification technology which guarantees SPICE accuracy for such designs with several hundred thousand circuit elements," said Samia Rashid, President of Infinisim. "We are thrilled to have worked with Arda Technologies in providing signoff-quality verification of their pioneering, complex, mixed-signal ADC designs."

About Infinisim
Infinisim provides guaranteed SPICE-accurate simulation results with an average of 50 times higher throughput and capacity for large mixed-signal circuits. Patent-pending Real-time Adaptive Simulation(TM) (RAS(TM)) technology makes the simulator always accurate and always fast. Infinisim's RASER(TM) is highly effective for analog and large scale analog mixed-signal circuits. RASER's speed and capacity uniquely position it to run simulations at all stages of design verification -- from single-block to full-chip, from pre-layout to post-layout. Infinisim enables its customers to eliminate silicon respins, reduce chip design schedules and dramatically improve product quality and production yield. Infinisim is privately held and based in Alviso, Calif. For more information, please visit www.infinisim.com.
