Attendees will be able to "test drive" the da Vinci(R) S Surgical System, robotic technology for minimally invasive surgery. This system is an alternative to traditional open surgery and conventional laparoscopy, enabling surgeons to perform more complex procedures through very small incisions. For the patient, this means less pain and blood loss, shorter recovery time and, in many cases, a better clinical outcome. 2. Background: The Apple Valley Medical Center includes the independent Apple Valley Medical Clinic of 13 family practice physicians, serving patients from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., five days a week.
