The art show will feature over 20 artists -- painters in oil and watercolors, photographers, and artists who use natural materials. Attendees will be able to meet the artists as they walk through the maritime hammock picnic area along the beach. This event showcases the natural and cultural resources of Florida through artistic expression.
The Friends of Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park are presenting the annual art show and are extremely thankful to Ann
Ponicsan, our new resident artist for 2014.
Ann's interest in art began at an early age painting flowers, weeds, and all things natural. After obtaining a degree in art with a major in textile design, she pursued a career in the textile industry for 17 years. During this time, she worked on designs for fabric used on women's wear and home furnishings. Since moving to Naples, Florida, from Pennsylvania in 1994, Ann has enjoyed painting the natural environment. She works primarily in watercolor and enjoys experimenting with mixed media. To complement her interest in nature, she also takes classes in tai chi.
