2012-02-14 20:44:33 - Annese & Associates, Inc. is very pleased to welcome Tom Gdula to the company’s Virtualization team.

Herkimer, N.Y., February 7th 2012— Tom joins Annese as a Virtualization Architect and will report to Director, Virtualization Practice, Rus Healy. Tom will be based in the company’s Syracuse office.

Tom is a graduate of SUNY Geneseo where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Management. He brings over 21 years of experience in the IT field with him, coming to Annese most recently from NYSTEC where he worked as a Project Manager. Tom is also a part-time Adjunct Faculty member at Syracuse University in the School of Information Studies.

As the second Virtualization Architect with Annese, Tom joins Phil Birmingham who was recently promoted from the role of Data Center Systems Engineer. Phil and Tom will be responsible for providing pre-sales

assessment, planning and design, and post sale implementation and support services for customers throughout all of the company’s regions.

“Virtualization as a practice area continues to grow rapidly,” explains Rus Healy. “Over the past year, we’ve seen a boom in the demand for desktop virtualization—both the infrastructure behind it, and the technologies enabled by it—and the business uses for desktop virtualization are truly compelling.”

Rus, who formerly held the title of Chief Technology Officer at Annese, was transitioned into this new role at the start of the year for the purpose of creating a dedicated lead to growing and developing this practice, which is a key focus area for the company.
