2008-09-25 19:08:50 - U.S. based Animal Radio Network™ has partnered with DogTime.com, the #1 online network in the pet market, to produce ‘Road to Rescue' - a regular radio segment capturing real-life stories of the people who dedicate their lives to rescuing animals.

Road to Rescue is hosted by longtime rescue volunteer and DogTime.com senior editor Leslie Smith. Smith goes behind the scenes to uncover inspirational and heart warming stories of the hard work that is being done every day to save the lives of animals. Road to Rescue includes interviews with pet experts, volunteers and industry luminaries - and airs within the weekly national AM-FM-XM Satellite Radio broadcast of Animal Radio®.

'Animal Radio® is excited to bring to light the work being done everyday by the hundreds of volunteers across the country,' said Hal Abrams, Animal Radio® VP of Programming. 'DogTime will bring compelling real-life stories to more pet enthusiasts and empower them with the information they need to make a better life

for the animals they care for.'

'DogTime.com's partnership with Animal Radio® will highlight the good work being done by shelters and rescue groups, encourage adoptions and pave the way for better lives for pets and pet owners,' said Trevor Wright, CEO of DogTime Media.

Hear Road to Rescue on the Animal Radio® weekly broadcast - XM Satellite Radio ch. 158 Saturdays at noon EST and Sundays at 9 am EST, or on any of the 90+ AM/FM radio affiliates, including KOST 103.5 Los Angeles. See more listening options at AnimalRadio.com
