Actress Angela DiMarco has been cast to play the supporting role of Stella Cranshaw in the feature film The Rectory, based on award winning writer / director Jonathan Chance’s screenplay “Something Like a Phenomenon” and will be produced by indie film force Calvin Vanderbeek. The film, set in 1937, follows paranormal investigator Harry Price as he leases the old Borley Rectory, England's most haunted house, and returns to face the spirits that lay dormant for decades.
“Stella Cranshaw was an incredible and important real-life character in Harry Price’s life” said Chance. “I’m so happy that Angela will play Stella, she has the talent, poise, look and charm to play the spellbinding psychic telepath with grace, an ordinary young lady dealing with
something quite extraordinary.”
“The things this girl could do were unheard of, Price gave her the nickname the Electric Girl” stated DiMarco. “It’s a story that has never been told, based upon true events, and different from anything I have read, it takes you on a journey with characters so well defined that the audience is going to connect with these people.”
Angela DiMarco was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. She began acting on stage and screen at a very young age. She is a consecutive three-time Gregory award Nominee (for Outstanding Lead and Supporting Actress). DiMarco starred in Feature Films ‘Hollywood Kills,’ ‘The Device,’ ‘Waiting For The Light.’ Her resume includes working with actors Elliot Gould, Shirley MacLaine, Tom Skerritt. Angela and her husband launched their own company, Mighty Tripod Productions in 2012.
